After Carl Craig's recent Boiler Room set that saw him utilise a toolkit comparable to the Nasa flight-desk we're reinvigorated by the man's talent (not that our love ever really waned) here's his Essential Mix from earlier in the year. It's sad that some Boiler Room blog commenters were disappointed with the set, maybe they'd of been happier with a grime MC toasting over the top? For me it was a great showpiece and the only reason it's not up here is that we've been jacking Boiler Room too much of late. This Essential Mix is equally worthy as a celebration of Carl and his legendary Planet E label.
