THE HOUSE OF BLACKFUZZ
Proudly presents: An Evening of Films and Music
Celebrating the work of JACK BOND.
On the Thursday 16th December we will be screening two of Jacks’ films and hosting a Q&A at the Drawers gallery underneath The Haggerston, Kingsland Rd, Dalston.
After the success of our Dennis Hopper tribute in the summer we have decided to go underground.
We will be starting with a screening of ‘Dali in New York’. This 87 minute snapshot of the maestro exposed for the first and last time in full celluloid action is not to be missed by anyone who is a fan of Modern Art, or New York in its mid-60’s heyday. Jack will then be dj-ing upstairs until its time for the Main Feature….
‘Anti-Clock’ was described by Andy Warhol as ‘great’ and who are we to argue.
A study of modern life, identity crisis and CCTV-fuelled paranoia, it was produced in 1979 in collaboration with fêted feminist film screenwriter and playwright Jane Arden.
After this there will be a chance to ask Jack Bond for answers to any questions you have, and an opportunity to hear some wisdom from one of the UK’s pioneering filmmakers. Konrad Wolf will then be dj-ing upstairs till they ask us to leave.
Seating will be limited and first come first served.
Free Admission.
Late bar.
